once upon a time i am dreaming that i am flying on horsetails and feather winds and chasing and racing through the pillars, mountains of rock. i caress the edges and wedges of stone as i play and reminisce for times different than these. i am crying flying into some other time space place. as i concentrate on the slabs of limestone, granite, and marble amassed side by each, i see myself reflected in the night's air. a woman aflame with fires roaring underfoot and a staff on fire with desire. ardor of the gods. i ache for balance and recognition for the burning beneath. brewing even greater passion and aliveness, is not for all, but as i stand upon the midnight sky, i see that all is clasped between two hands. an interweaving of the dove and the butterfly. the red moon and the green sky. i see that no fire shivers without a wisp of air. i see that no bird flies without the earth beckoning for her return. i see that as my heart trembles and assembles itself anew that i am but an incomplete piece of fabric awaiting stars and geckos and bicycles and thunder storming dreams...

Once upon a time there was a dreaming woman whose dreams were of the moon that the animals sang to.

When the flames came out of the fires in the dark night the people fell like stones and joined the earth.

Afterwards in the great scrolls it was written that a lake arose in the sky and the mountains flew like clouds.

Those who remained knelt before the great healer, a man with white flowing hair and copper woman breast-plates, and received the blessings of the future.

Golden grains of the earth filled the communal baskets of the dreaming woman.
